The Challenge
Due to disparate operational processes and technologies used across global offices outside the US and Europe, our Client was looking to understand process simplification and technology rationalization opportunities. Desire was to standardize processes aligning to a global template and then perform a vendor assessment to select an implementation partner, who would assist in the program deployment.
Our Solution
Collaboratively worked with our Client to perform high-level process and system gap analysis in efforts to determine the critical requirements and process misalignment. As a result of this exercise, we developed a Request For Proposal (RFP) that was sent to various implementation partners. This initiative also included the review and scoring to the RFP vendor responses, solution demonstrations, and vendor selection. In addition, we developed a 3-year strategic plan and implementation roadmap. We were able to identify improvement opportunities across the mater data, finance, procurement, and sales processes globally.
The Sustained Result
Creation of an Information Technology Strategic Roadmap and Delivery Plan. The plan highlighted key improvement areas that were ultimately associated to an innovative Digital Transformation Strategy. Key solutions, benefits, level of effort, and timing required to take advantage of their systems and business processes were inputs into the new transformational approach. The Digital Transformation model included the delivery of new systems capabilities and the adoption of the business process outsourcing model supporting the finance and accounting group.
